Man Robbed at Gunpoint

Police say victim, 20, was knocked out by muggers.

A man was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning in Roslyn Heights.

According to Nassau County detectives, the victim, who is 20, was walking from his vehicle on Edwards Street when he was approached by two men, each wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The subjects, one holding a silver hand gun, demanded the victim’s wallet and cell phone. After the victim handed over the money, he was struck in his right temple knocking him unconscious. He regained consciousness and returned home. The victim was treated at a local hospital for a cut to his head.

The subjects fled in an unknown direction with an undetermined amount of U.S. currency and a Blackberry cell phone.
