Police Arrest Man Tied to Burglaries

The cops said the defendant committed crimes in Great Neck, Port Washington, Uniondale and Merrick.

A Great Neck man arrested for a burglary along Nassau's South Shore is now being tied to similar crimes in Port Washington, Nassau County police said on Monday.

Cops said they arrested David Mintz after responding to an alarm at Sushi Ko Restaurant in Merrick. Upon arriving, a police officer said he saw Mintz running from the rear of the store and that he had taken money from the cash register.

Nassau police also alleged that Mintz was involved in other burglaries in Uniondale, Great Neck and Port Washington.

The defendant is being charged with eleven counts of 3rd degree burglary and two counts of attempted burglary. He will be arraigned Monday at First District court in Hempstead.
