Serious Auto Accident in East Hills

Pedestrian injured, police say.

A pedestrian was seriously injured when a car struck her while she crossed Town Path Road in East Hills Friday.

Third Squad detectives say a 56-year-old woman from Florida was crossing east to west on Town Path Road at 10 a.m., when she was struck by an Audi driven by a 66-year-old woman from Roslyn.

The pedestrian suffered severe head trauma and was transported to a nearby local hospital by a Nassau County Police Ambulance.

Detectives say there was no apparent criminality with the accident at this time. The Audi was brake tested at the scene, police say.
