Thief Allegedly Steals Credit Card, Hires Two Limos

Incidents and arrests in the Port Washington Police District over the past week.

The following information is taken directly from the Port Washington Police District's Felony Report. None of the defendants has been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed below. All complaints listed are only alleged crimes under local investigation.

Arrests:

A Port Washington man was placed under arrest at 31 Avenue A for an open warrant on Sept. 9 at 6:05 a.m.

A Hempstead man was placed under arrest at 37 Avenue A for disorderly conduct on Sept. 11 at 11:25 p.m.

Complaints

A complainant at 16 Davis Avenue on Sept. 7  reported at 1:30 p.m. that a stolen credit card was used to rent two limousines. A local investigation is under way. 

A man at 2 Cliff Way reported on Sept. 9 at 6:25 p.m. that an unknown person or persons transferred $4,200 out of his checking account and also attempted to transfer funds from another account. A local investigation is under way.
