Two Men Arrested in Great Neck For Grand Larceny

Cops say fake banks cards used by men to steal $13,700 from Long Island banks in recent weeks.

Two men were arrested in Great Neck Sunday after using skimming devices and re-encoded bank cards to withdraw $13,700 from TD Bank branches in the tri-state area between Dec. 16 and Jan. 13, according to Nassau County Police. 

Dezso Gyapias, 28, with no address and Ioan Leusca, 29, also with no address, were arrested Sunday at 9:30 a.m. as while conducting illegal transactions at an TD Bank ATM located at 111 Great Neck Rd, according to police.

Gyapias is charged with grand larceny third degree, two counts of possession of a forged instrument second degree and defraud first degree.

Leusca is charged with grand larceny third Degree, three counts of possession of a forged instrument second degree and defraud first degree.

Both defendants will be arraigned on Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
