19th Annual Women’s Roll of Honor Breakfast

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman and Town Clerk Leslie Gross announced that the 19th Annual May W. Newburger Women’s Roll of Honor Breakfast will be held on Thursday, March 22nd at Harbor Links in Port Washington from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

The Town will be receiving nominations for the 2012 Women’s Roll of Honor now through Friday, February 3, 2012. 

“Once again, the outstanding women of North Hempstead will be given top billing at our 2012 Women’s Roll of Honor Breakfast,” said Supervisor Kaiman.  “I encourage all town residents to help us honor the women who have made a difference in the town by submitting their names to the nominating committee.”

“The tradition of honoring the extraordinary women who have made the North Hempstead community a more wonderful place continues,” added Town Clerk Leslie Gross, the event chairperson.  “The theme for this year’s breakfast will recognize North Hempstead’s ‘Shining Stars’.  It promises to be a wonderful celebration of history, community activism, and camaraderie.”   

Since 1994, North Hempstead has held a Women’s History Month Breakfast to honor women who have made a contribution to their community, possess a special personal talent, or have accomplished a significant achievement through public or quiet work.
