The Town of North Hempstead Sept. 11 Memorial Service 2010

The Town of North Hempstead will hold its Sept. 11 memorial service on Sept. 11, 2010 at 10 a.m. 

Town Clerk Leslie Gross will make the opening remarks and lead the community in a moment of silence. The Rev. Dr. Charles R. Vogeley of  of Port Washington will lead the invocation, and later give the benediction. The Albertson VFW will lead the presentation of the colors. Town Supervisor John Kamen will present the welcome. 

The service will also include Thoughts of the Day by the Albertson Fire Company, a musical interlude by Danielle Reed from the Multicultural Peace Mission Choir, and a poem presented by Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel. The gun salute and playing of taps will be presented by the Albertson VFW, and the bagpiper is Corey McCluskey.
