Free Seminar: Small Business Relief, Incentives

The Town of North Hempstead Business & Tourism Development Corp. is hosting a free seminar on relief and incentives available for small business on Thursday at Harbor Links Club House from 8-10 a.m.

Business oweners will learn about various programs, including:

  • U.S. Small Business Administration's low-interest Business Physical & Economic Development Disaster Injury Loans
  • New York State's Empire State Development Corp. (ESDC) NYS Emergency Small Business Loan Program of up to $25,000 for businesses with fewer than 100 employees.
  • NYS Department of Labor's Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) for businesses that hire from 11 targeted groups and its Disaster Unemployment Insurance (DUI) for the self-employed. 
  • Nassau County Industrial Agency's (Nassau IDA)new small business program (LEADS) that offers sales and use tax exemptions to businesses with less than 100 employees.

Additional programs include ESDC's Excelsior program or the Long Island Development Corp. (LIDC)'s Targeted Loan & Micro Loan program, or the effort of the Governor's Long Island Regional Economic Development Council to help businesses thrive.

Learn firsthand from the various agency's leading spokespersons about accessing the multitude of programs that have been put in place to not only help businesses recover, but also grow.

A free continental breakfast is being served and refreshments will be available throughout the morning.
