Giunta Re-elected as Mayor

Results for

Manorhaven voters re-elected Mayor Giovanna Giunta. The incumbent received 358 votes while opponents James M. Avena picked up 343 votes, and John O’Reilly, 297 votes.

The village will have two new trustees on its board. Priscilla von Roeschlaub received 344 votes, while and Kevin M. Gately, Jr. had 357. They are replacing incumbents Dorit Zeevi-Farrington who received 330 votes and Mark Lazarovic, who picked up 341.

Gately and von Roeschlaub ran on Avena’s ticket, the Manorhaven Resident’s Party, while while Zeevi-Farrington and Lazarovic were on Giunta’s ticket, the Manorhaven Revival Party.

John S. Popeleski, who ran on Manorhaven People’s Party ticket for trustee, received 290 votes. Jonathan K. Davis, who also ran for trustee, picked up 265 votes.

In the Sands Point village elections, in the bid for trustee, Lynn Najman picked up 107 and Peter Forman received 111 votes. Alyson Adler was elected justice, receiving 105 votes. All candidates were unopposed.
