Community Leaders Call on Martins to Sponsor Ban on Hydro-Fracking

Environmental group delivers petition calling on a ban for hydro-fracking in state.

The environmental group Food and Water Watch gathered with local community leaders to deliver a petition to State Sen. Jack Martins, R-Mineola, calling on him to sponsor a ban on the practice of hydro-fracking in New York State. Check out the video to see more about the issue.

A representative in Martin's office said he is currently out of town and unavailable for direct comment. The rep did refer to a about the issue.
