Several residents at the village board meeting expressed concerns about passing this measure. One woman questioned why the village needs to pay for this study and wondered why the cell tower company, , is not paying for this work.
In response, Village attorney Gerard Terry noted that AG is a private company, and the Village cannot compel a private company "to pay a public expense."

Terry also noted that this firm will not conduct any kind of study until the Village asks them to and that it would be better to have Bowne in place so that when the study is needed it can be performed more expeditiously, rather than trying to engage a firm later in the process.
Other residents said the proposal was passed too quickly. They wanted more information about the two firms who were being considered for this work.
