North Hempstead Notebook: Spring Photos And Scholarship

Happenings in North Hempstead.

Here's a reason to snap photos around town this spring. Sen. Jack Martins is seeking photography enthusiasts from the seventh senate district to submit photos for a spring photography exhibit. The theme? “Capture Your Community in Full Bloom.”

So, go ahead. Snap those photos that capture what you find beautiful in your community. Then submit the photos to Martins (we've listed the address below).

The photos will be displayed on an online photo gallery. And some will even be printed and displayed in Martins’ district office in Garden City Park as well as his office in Albany. In addition, a photo exhibit will be held to recognize the photographs – details to follow.
