North Hempstead's Annual Funday Monday Health Fair Underway

Event runs Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North Hempstead Beach Park

North Hempstead's Senior Health Education Fair is the most widely attended event of the successful Funday Monday season. The event provides residents practical assistance in wide-ranging areas of physical, emotional, recreational and financial health, gives attendees the opportunity to participate in a variety of screenings and obtain useful information from professionals such as doctors, nurses, attorneys, and advocates. Residents can also bring their list of medications and ask the pharmacist about the best way to take medications.

In attendance will be North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman, U.S. Congressman Steve Israel and Nassau County Legislator Wayne Wink

Exhibitors include the American Red Cross, Assemblyman Chuck Lavine, Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel, Delux Transportation, Long Island Cares Harry Chapin Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, NICE- Able Ride, North Shore LIJ- Health System, and various services offered by the Town of North Hempstead including Project Independence, 311 Call Center, Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman, the Animal Shelter and Solid Waste Management Authority.

The fair runs Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North Hempstead Beach Park, 175 West Shore Rd. in Port Washington
