North Hempstead to Host Free Seminar on Affordable Care Act

Seminar to take place Sept. 27 at the Harbor Links Club House in Port Washington.

The Town of North Hempstead Business and Tourism Development Corporation recently announced that they are hosting a free two-hour presentation on the Affordable Care Act.

The seminar will take place Sept. 27 from 8-10 a.m at the Harbor Links Club House (located at One Fairway Drive in Port Washington). The seminar will focus squarely on the facts and what employers need to know in order to comply with this new law.

In March 2010, President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law, which was ratified by the Supreme Court in 2012.  Under the law, Health Benefit Exchanges will be set up in all 50 states.  These Exchanges are organized marketplaces designed to assist individuals, families, and small businesses to shop for and enroll in health insurance coverage.
