Monday is the last day to pay second half 2013 general taxes without penalty for both the Town of Hempstead and Town of North Hempstead.
Payment are collected in person or by mail. In addition, you may now pay your tax bill on-line or by telephone with your credit card or by electronic check.
In North Hempstead, there are numerous collection sites set up to collect taxes from residents including Michael J. Tully Park, which is open until 3 p.m. today.
