Special District Elections Are Tuesday

A voters' guide.

Special district elections in Port Washington take place Tuesday from 12-9 p.m. at the Polish American Cultural Association.

In this year’s race for Port Washington Water District commissioner, there are two seats up for election. Incumbent David Brackett is challenged by Alan B. Elton. And Mindy Germain, who was appointed by the Town of North Hempstead when Thomas J. Murray, is challenged by Dennis Swiacki.

In other special district elections Angela Lawlor Mullins is on the ballot for re-election for Port Washington Police District police commissioner. Incumbent Richard Marra is on the ballot for Port Washington Water Pollution Control District. And incumbent Mary Giordano is on the ballot for Port Washington Garbage District.
