Starbucks Opens in Macy's in Manhasset Monday

New store on Northern Blvd. is one of more than 17,650 locations worldwide.

Town Councilwoman Anna Kaplan of Great Neck helped cut the ribbon to a new Starbucks inside Macy’s on Northern Boulevard in Manhasset Monday.

The grand opening of the location marks the first time that the department store chain has partnered with the Seattle-based coffeehouse chain on Long Island, according to a Town of North Hempstead news release.  

Since Starbucks opened its first location in Seattle’s Pike Place Market in 1971, more than 17,650 stores have opened worldwide, according to the company.

Joining Kaplan was Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman, Starbucks Manager Tricia Armato, Macy’s Assistant Store Manager Heidi Ceirrito and Macy’s Store Manager Heather Morgan.

Hours of operation for the chain's newest location are Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the company's website.

The store is open Saturdays from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
