Suit Filed Against AG Towers

The suit was filed in Nassau County State Supreme Court.

The announced Monday that it filed against to prevent a from becoming operational.

The suit was filed in Nassau County State Supreme Court, according to Village Attorney Charles J. Casolaro.

In a statement, the village said:

"The Village is today announcing that Manorhaven's new Mayor, Giovanna Giunta, with the support of the Board of Trustees, has commenced litigation against AG Towers to prevent the Cell Tower from becoming operational. Mayor Giunta began this fight as a concerned citizen and Mother. Now, as Mayor, she has pledged all that the Village can do to stop it.  Politics and mishandling is why this tower exists. Fidelity to the law and the protection of the Village’s citizens, especially its children, is why it should come down. John McDonnell, Esq. of McDonnell & Daly is leading this charge, and the Mayor and Board are confident that when the facts come out, the Village will win."

Apparently Ms. De Giorgio isn't aware that there already IS a "train depot" in PortRead More Washington. Thanks for the link, very interesting explanation of the LIRR's options. I was unaware that LIRR owned the West side lot which, as the article states, makes the question of yard expansion moot. It's going to happen. Ms. De Giorgio should stop posturing and start advocating for the best solution for Port residents within the limited choices.

Too bad she doesn't view the UNSIGHTLY MASSIVE SCAM OVERLAY DISTRICT THAT WILL RUIN THE CHARACTER OFRead More THE TOWN with the same disdain as most of her constituents: "...De Giorgio, a Republican who announced her bid for supervisor last month, said the proposals amount to creating an unsightly storage yard in Port Washington. "The idea of storing these massive trains, adding two storage tracks to Port Washington, will completely ruin the character of the town," she said. "This is creating a train depot in Port Washington..."
