Support for Caregivers of The Elderly

New group forming at Shelter Rock Library.

Caring for the elderly can present its share of challenges. Just ask anyone who has tended to the well-being of an older person.

That’s why the Shelter Rock Public Library and the Nassau County Office for the Aging are coordinating a support group specifically targeted to respond to the needs of caregivers of older persons. The group is led by Sari Flesch, a support group facilitator.

The group will meet on Tuesday, April 16, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Shelter Rock Public Library, 165 Searingtown Road, in Albertson. Subsequent meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of each month.  Nassau county residents are welcome.

The support group will provide an opportunity for participants to share their experiences and help one another through dialogue. Interested in attending? Call (516) 227-8945 for additional information.
