Time to Renew Port Washington Parking Permits

Existing permits set to expire May 31.

Port Washington Parking District permits may not expire until May 31, but residents can begin renewing permits beginning May 1 – the same date when the 2013-2014 permits become valid.

Current permit holders will soon receive an application for new permits in the mail.  Others can obtain a permit application from the Parking District Office, at 15 Vanderventer Ave. in Port Washington.

Or download an application on the Town of North Hempstead website. Visit www.northhempsteadny.gov, click “Living” at the top of the home page, and then scroll down to “Parking Permit Applications.”

The Parking District Office will also be open:

  • Weekdays from 6 a.m.-3 p.m. (April 15-June 7)
  • Saturdays: May 4, May 11, and May 18 from 6 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Tuesdays: May 14, Wednesday, May 22, and Thursday, May 30, until 8 p.m.

The fee for the parking permit is $15. Visa, MasterCard, cash, or checks made payable to the Port Washington Parking District will be accepted.

Along with the completed application, residents must provide a current driver’s license, vehicle registration, and a current utility bill, all with the same name and address.

Call the Parking District at 767-4628 or North Hempstead’s Call Center at 311 for more information.
