Town of North Hempstead Notebook: Potholes and 311 Calls

Here are some things that recently happened in the Town of North Hempstead.

During the week of Feb. 19, there were 2,878 311 calls made to the . The week of Jan. 29 was the largest call volume in the 311 center's history, according to spokesman Sid Nathan, with 4,463 made.

Filling the Holes

The Town of North Hempstead has also recently announced that all potholes will be filled within 48 hours of the Town being notified.

“North Hempstead residents can rest assured that our Highway crews are out in full force,” said Supervisor Jon Kaiman in a press release.

If someone calls 311 to report a pothole in a village or other area not covered by the Town of North Hempstead, they will be directed to the correct contact point, according to a recent press release.
