Town Seeking Women’s Honor Roll Nominees

Nominations for the 2014 Women’s Roll of Honor are currently being accepted through Feb. 19 by the Town of North Hempstead.

The 21st Annual May W. Newburger Women’s Roll of Honor Breakfast will be held on March 26 at Harbor Links Golf Club in Port Washington.

“It is important for us to recognize outstanding women for their accomplishments and achievements," said Supervisor Judi Bosworth in a statement Friday. "I encourage everyone to nominate North Hempstead residents they believe have gone above and beyond in making a difference in our town."

The first Women’s History Month breakfast was held in North Hempstead in 1994 to honor women who have made a contribution to their community, possess a special personal talent, or have accomplished a significant achievement through public or quiet work, according to the town.
