Upcoming Village Elections on June 21

Sands Point Mayor Leonard Wurzel not seeking re-election.

Two villages will hold elections in Port Washington on Tuesday, June 21.

After 35 years of service, Mayor Leonard Wurzel is not seeking re-election. Ed Adler, who has served as deputy mayor for the past 10 years and was on the board for 20 years, is running unopposed.

There are two two-year term trustee positions open. Marc Silbert, Katharine Ullman, and Barry Miller are running for the spots. Silbert and Ullman are both incumbents.

Voting will take place at Village Hall from 12-9 p.m.

Incumbents Rita DiLucia and John M. DiLeo are running on the Light Party line.

Gerald A. Volpe and Vincent Mitchell are running on the Unity Party line.

Voting will take place at Village Hall from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
