Wink to Bring Free Mammograms to Albertson

Reservations required.

Leg. Wayne Wink (D-Roslyn) is bringing a local mammogram program to take place at the Albertson Fire Department at 100 IU Willets Road on Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Sponsored by the Nassau Health Care Corporation, this program is free of cost and open to uninsured women. Regular screenings are important, as breast cancer is a deadly disease that can be detected and treated.

Applicants must be at least 40 to qualify for the mammogram. Priority for this free service will be given to uninsured women. Please bring a prescription from your doctor (if applicable) the day of the mammogram and copies of your prior films (if applicable) for comparison.
