Nassau County Leg. Wayne Wink, D-Roslyn, will hold free workshops on how to file a grievance of your assessment with the Assessment Review Commission. Residents interested in filing a grievance are encouraged to attend any of the workshops to receive helpful guidance and important information. The workshops will be held on the following dates at various locations within the 11th Legislative District:

  • Roslyn: Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Bryant Library, 2 Paper Mill Road, 7-9 p.m.
  • Albertson: Thursday, Feb. 21, Shelter Rock Library, 165 Searingtown Road, 7-9 p.m.

The period to file a grievance is Jan. 2 – May 1, 2013 (a special extension to the original March 1 deadline was made due to Superstorm Sandy).  If you have questions about your assessment, or wish to file an appeal, contact the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission by phone at (516) 571-3214 or by e-mail at ARC@nassaucountyny.gov.  For further assistance, or additional information about the workshops, please contact Legislator Wayne Wink’s office at (516) 571-6211.
