A Message from Port Washington Schools

Update on Election Day, parent conferences, transportation, saftey and more.

Interim Port Washington Public School Superintendent Dr. Kathleen Mooney sent out this message at about 10 a.m. Monday.

I am pleased to report that the reopening of schools went very well this morning.  Schools will be open for students and staff tomorrow, November 6, 2012. All after-school activities will be canceled today and tomorrow. Transportation is still limited to in-district schools.

Elementary parent conferences for Thursday, November 8, 2012 will go on as previously scheduled. The polls will be open at Guggenheim and Sousa elementary schools tomorrow, Election Day. Security will be provided for student safety. Again, students will not be penalized if they are unable to attend school tomorrow. Staff should continue to exercise caution.
