No After-school Activities Wednesday in Port Washington Due to Pending Storm

No parent-teacher conferences on Thursday; Adult Ed evening classes cancelled.

Port Washington Public School Superintendent Dr. Kathleen Mooney made this announcement in an automated call and email to Port Washington families on Wednesday at 10:35 a.m. In addition, Adult Ed evening classes are cancelled.

This is Dr. Kathleen Mooney with an important message about the Port Washington Schools for November 7 and 8, 2012. 

Due to the expected storm this afternoon as well as the safety of students and staff, all after school activities are canceled. This includes faculty meetings for staff. After careful consideration due to the loss of instructional time last week, elementary parent teacher conferences are canceled for tomorrow, November 8, 2012.

Thursday will be a regular instructional day for elementary students and staff.  We will all need to be flexible about rescheduling parent conferences at alternative times. Many students, their families and staff remain without power. These decisions have been made to ensure that all remain safe and supported under these extraordinary circumstances.
