Asbestos Abatement at Schreiber

The project should be completed by Aug. 31.

The is in the process of an asbestos abatement project, aimed at removing asbestos found in pipe insulation in crawl spaces at .

“The work is commencing after 1 p.m. each day,” said the  district’s Director of Facilities, Jim Ristano. “The project was designed to work in areas with the least impact to staff. Students are gone before the shift starts.”

“The project is being monitored by a third party [JC Broderick] that is on site during the abatement,” he added. “The safety of all is first priority.”

The project, which began on Monday, should be completed by Aug. 31 or sooner.
