How Much Do You Know About Cyber bullying???

A growing number of students are using the Internet to spread rumors, send hurtful messages, impersonate and trick others to elicit personal information and post pictures without consent, and in many cases, they don't even realize the consequences of this behavior. In addition to hurt feelings and lasting emotional trauma, cyber bullying can lead to very serious legal ramifications.

Educate yourself and your family! Join us at the next Schreiber HSA
meeting on Wednesday March 23rd at 7:00pm* for an informative presentation by the Nassau County District Attorney's Technology Crime Unit about the dangers of cyber bullying, including what it is, how to identify the signs and effects, and how we can help keep our kids safe from this misuse of the Internet.

This program, designed for parents, is a follow-up to the sessions with the attorneys from the Technology Crime Unit attended by the students in mid-December. The approximately 45 minute presentation will start at 7:30 after our general meeting, and be followed by a lively question and answer period.
