Guggenheim Elementary Turning 50 in Port Washington

The school is offering a week of celebration.

Guggenheim Elementary School turns 50 this year, and is offering a week of special activities to celebrate. Here is the announcement the school released Monday.

All are welcome as we celebrate Guggenheim turning 50! 50 years of excellence in educating our children in Port Washington and making a big impact on our community. Take a look at our 50th anniversary page for some fun trivia, videos and events for the week.  On Wednesday, fellow Guggenheim alumni Jonathan Wood returns to Port with his Birds of Prey show at 7 and 8 p.m. Tickets are available at the door – $5 for children; $10 for adults.
The celebration continues with a carnival on Saturday from 11-3 p.m. (rain date Sunday from 11-3 p.m.) on the Guggenheim fields. There will be inflatables, Coney Island-style carnival games, DJ, food, plants, Guggenheim merchandise, apparel and much more.
