Port Washington residents Dr. Glen and Tami Ruben are helping to ensure that Long Island children will return to school equipped to learn. Like other donors, the Rubens are particpating in the UJA-Federation of New York’s Supplies for Success initiative.

The program distributes more than 3,450 backpacks to children in grades K-12 in September. Opportunities to donate a backpack are available through Sept. 15. If interested, please send the number of backpacks you would like to fill along with gender and age requests to Sindy Levitt at 1.212.836.1361 or levitts@ujafedny.org.
