Port Rowing Donates $10K to Long Beach High School

With this contribution, the team helps a local cause and their peers.

Port Rowing traveled to Long Beach High School on Tuesday to make a donation to the school's athletic department. As a result of Hurricane Sandy, the Long Beach school district lost the majority of its athletic equipment, uniforms and the usage of six of its seven gymnasiums. As the community rebuilds its homes and schools, the athletes at the high school have worked on putting their teams and lives back together. Port Rowing raised $10,000 at its December Ergathon and decided to donate to a local cause and help kids their own age.

Officials say it is the largest donation from one organization that the Long Beach school has received. The high school athletic department will use the funds to help rebuild their programs.

Particularly out of line since it's a shared-use puddle for camp groups splashing, not a good poolRead More venue for individuals swimming.

The TONH should be under some investigation for charging such a high fee for a very short summerRead More season. You lose most of june and the pool closes in early September. Better off paying as you go just purchase the parking permit which is good at the Manorhaven Pool and the Harbor beach. Stop buying a season pass in protest to the yearly excessive price increase.

Contact the Village and the water district, it's probably a problem with a pipe on your street.
