Port Schools: Early Dismissal Thursday Due to Heat Advisory

Weber graduation will be moved to 8:30 a.m.

The is imposing an early dismissal Thursday. The move was triggered by an extreme heat advisory alert issued by The National Weather Service.

The following schedule, posted on the district's website, is in effect:


and the Pre-K program will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m.

and will be dismissed at 12:35 p.m.

and will be dismissed at 1 p.m.

All elementary field trips and after school programs are canceled. For students, Regents exams will proceed as scheduled. 

The graduation ceremony is being moved up to begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. All Weber eighth graders must arrive to school by 8 a.m.
Water will be provided for students. However, families are asked to bring water, sun screen and a means to provide shade. School is closed for sixth and seventh grade students.
