Port Schools Presentation: 'Bullying, Cyberbullying, and Youth Depression'

An event for adults Monday at Weber Middle School, 7-8:30 p.m.

Bullying, whether in the school yard or on the internet, can hurt the entire family.

John Halligan knows this first-hand. He lost his 13-year-old son, Ryan, to suicide on Oct. 7, 2003, after the boy was bullied by classmates at school and online.

John Halligan will deliver a presentation, "Bullying, Cyberbullying, and Youth Depression" to adults on Monday at Weber Middle School from 7-8:30 p.m. Halligan’s presentation will cover the lessons learned too late for his family regarding how to deal with bullying, cyberbullying, and teen depression.
