Schreiber High to Bring 'Beauty And The Beast' Magic

The "Tale as Old as Time" runs Thursday through Sunday.

's Theater Arts Program will bring the magic of announces its production of the family musical, Disney’s "Beauty and The Beast." 

Schreiber’s production involves the efforts of approximately 100 students and staff and is under the direction of Lauren Foster-Holzer, with vocal direction by John Spiezio, choreography by Jason Summers, orchestral direction by John Meyer, and produced by Christine Nelson.

Adapted from the Academy Award-winning animated film, Disney’s "Beauty and The Beast" is perfect entertainment for the entire family.

The heart-warming musical is the classic love story of Belle, an intelligent young woman in a “small, provincial town,” and the Beast, who is a selfish and vain prince trapped by a spell. If the Beast can learn to love and to be loved in return, the spell will be broken and he will be transformed back to his former self. However, time is running out, and if the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he will be doomed for all eternity.

The unforgettable score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, includes the Academy Award-winning title song “Beauty and the Beast” and the show-stopping "Be Our Guest," plus additional songs written especially for the stage production.

The cast of Schreiber’s "Beauty and The Beast" includes Julia Bain as “Belle,” Michael Schweitzer as “Beast,” Jesse Weil as “Gaston,” Christopher Falcioni as “Lumiere,” Sydney Ronis as “Mrs. Potts,” Jack Fishman as “Cogsworth,” Sameer Nanda as “Maurice,” Kimberly Suzzan as “Babette,” Ani O”Hanlon as “Madame de la Grande Bouche,” Nate Krantz as “Lefou,” Alexis Fessatidis as “Madame D’Arque” and Jina Lay as “Chip.”  

Featured in the talented ensemble are: Jake Arlow, Sabrina Brennan, Sophie Brett-Chin, Mia Crowley, Taylor Eisenberg, Rachel Ellerson, Jesse Epstein, Caitlin Ferris, Jenny Garofolo, Nina Grauer, Loren Giron, Kevin Greenstein, Tamara Hoffman, Lena Kogan, Ashley Larsen, Kalia Lay, Liam Marsigliano, Elizabeth Muratore, Amelia Pacht, Tessa Peierls, Alison Peraza, Annie Rubin, Wyn Stopford, Stephanie Anne Thomsen, Delia Van Praag, Sage Viscovi, Ariel Waldman, Arielle Waller, Juliet Walzer, Emily Weinstein and Kimberly Winter.

Performances of Schreiber’s production of "Beauty and The Beast" will take place at the Schreiber Auditorium, 101 Campus Drive,  Port Washington.

Evening performances:  Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Afternoon matinee:  Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets on sale at the box office on the day of the show:

$10 for Adults, $5 for Children (18 and under) and complimentary for Senior Citizens.
