Chloe Margulis earns Yolan DePhillips Memorial Scholarship.

Schreiber High School senior Chloe Margulis has been selected to receive the Yolan DePhillips Memorial Scholarship, according to the school district website.

The scholarship is awarded annually to selected children of John F. Kennedy Airport employees toward any field of study at any college-level educational institution in the United States.

Margulis recently finished her fifth book, “Sword on Hadrian,” a trilogy novel.

The honor student is the president Schreiber’s debate team, a student council participant, a musician and music composer.

According to the school district, the memorial scholarship was formed in 2011 to commemorate the life of Yolan J. DePhillips, an airline industry employee active in many JFK Airport community activities.
