Volunteers Needed for Mock Interview Session at Schreiber

Lend your expertise to 11th grade students.

Those all important college admissions interviews. So much at stake.

Which foot is my best foot forward? Should I shake hands even if my palms are sweaty? How do I dress – business attire or casual? Whether it’s for college or a job, Schreiber students have questions about that all important interview.

The Compact Committee is organizing a panel of volunteers who can offer 11th grade students advice and practical information on presenting themselves positively for college and business interviews. To all the members of the Port community who volunteered in the past and helped to make this forum such a huge success we cannot thank you enough.  We once again call upon anyone who has experience interviewing for colleges or in the business sector to share their expertise with Schreiber students for a few hours on Monday, April 30th at 6:30 p.m. at Schreiber High School.

If you can help our Schreiber students “ace” their interview, please contact Emily Beys at 790-6129, emilybeys@yahoo.com or Karen Sambursky at 767-0884, nls1@optonline.net.   Your advice will make a big difference to our students.

Special thanks to Karen Sambursky for this post.
