VIDEO: Championship in Reach for Port Washington Fire Department
The PWFD softball team has a 2-0 lead on the SCFD in the best-of-five championship series.
After a few years of playing softball in the 8th Battalion League, the has found a new home in the 5th Battalion League. Thought its fallen short in the past, the team is currently in second place and has a chance at winning it all.
Port Washington is playing Sea Cliff in the best-of-five championship series. The first two games were played at the Port Washington P.A.L. field with the PWFD winning both by scores of 21-4 and 18-3. Game three – as well as game four, if necessary – will be played in Seacliff at a date to be announced later. If there's a game five, it will be played back in Port Washington.
