Five-time Atlantic League All-Star Ray Navarrete led Ducks to championship in 2012.

The face of the Long Island Ducks isn't QuackerJack, it's veteran infielder Ray Navarrete.

The Port Washington resident, a five-time Atlantic League All-Star, re-signed with the independent baseball club for an eighth-straight season, the Ducks announced Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not released.

Navarrete batted .318 with 90 RBI and set a team record with 50 doubles in 131 games last season. The Ducks wrapped up their second Atlantic League championship in October.

Navarrete, 34, is the Ducks’ all-time leader in hits (879), home runs (130), RBI (510), runs (561), doubles (224) and games played (765).

The Ducks open the 2013 season April 18 on the road against Sugar Land (Tex).
