Maccabiah Youth Sports Day

Please join the outdoor family fun on Sunday, May 20th at Manorhaven Park, 12:00 – 4:00 pm, as we celebrate our second annual Maccabiah Youth Sports Day.  Recreational games and sports for children five years and up, special events for pre-schoolers, a live DJ, picnic barbecue, give-aways and raffles fill the day with activity and community spirit.  The event is open to all Jewish families in the Port Washington and is free-of-charge to participants.

The festivities will be hosted by and include families from The Community Synagogue,  Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore and Temple Beth Israel, bringing together an extended Jewish community.

This year’s Maccabiah will include opportunities to play age-appropriate team sports, including soccer, softball, T-ball, flag football and basketball.  All games are organized and supervised by adult coaches.  If you prefer less structured games, volleyball and badminton will be available as well.  For pre-schoolers there will be relay races, parachute play, face painting and more.  And for the first time this year, a pre-event men’s basketball game, and a co-ed adult softball game will end the day.  If you prefer to sit back, schmooze and simply enjoy our kosher BBQ, that’d be great too!
