The Schreiber Cross Country team won the Nassau County Division IB championship Wednesday, finishing the regular season undefeated.
Racing 5K at Bethpage State Park, the Vikings were led by Leo Potters, Taro Katayama, Jordan Hurt, Aaron Siff-Scherr, Peter Kirgis, Andrew Adelhardt and Matthew Kramer.
Despite graduating six of its top seven runners last year, Schreiber stepped up this season.
"This is the youngest cross country team that Schreiber has produced in a decade, with freshmen and sophomores contributing immensely to the successful season," said Coach Jeremy Klaff.
