Port's Second Grade Blue Defeats Northport in Boys Lacrosse

The team won, 11-8

The Port Washington Second Grade Blue Lacrosse team opened the 2012 season with a win against Northport at on Sunday.

After two weeks of practice, the boys looked sharp as they netted 11 goals to Northport’s 8. Leading the way in scoring was Christo Freitas with four goals, Henry Haberman with three, Matt Freeman with two and Kevin Taylor and Chris Carillo each with one.

The team hustled on ground balls and played solid defense when it counted. Splitting the win in goal were Brandon Farahan and Alex Esposito.

Next up: the Second Grade Blue will face off against a tough Cold Spring Harbor team on the road next week.
