Sports Roundup: Football, Girls Soccer, Boys Volleyball Impress

Vikings sports action for the past week.

Continuing with their winning ways last week, several Port Washington sports teams continued to advance in conference play.

With wins over Oceanside and Syosset last week, the boys volleyball team moved to 5-1 on the season.

In football, the Vikings (3-0) cruised against Great Neck South on Homecoming Day at Schreiber, 55-28 in front of a large crowd Sept. 28.

Also impressive so far this season has been the Port Washington girls soccer team who have won six straight. The Vikings notched a home win against Baldwin Tuesday, followed by a key road win against Plainview on Friday.
