Port Trotters Run Ocean To Sound 50 Mile Relay

The team comprised 8 women from Port Washington.

Kudos to the Port Trotters – all eight members of the team are Port Washington women – who ran in the 27th Annual Ocean to Sound 50 Mile Relay Sunday.

The team competed with more than 147 eight-person teams in a relay that started at sunrise in Jones Beach State Park and ended in the afternoon on the grounds of Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay.  Organized by the Greater Long Island Running Club, the race crossed 15 Long Island towns, including Seaford, Massapequa, Farmingdale and Old Bethpage.

Each woman on the team ran a leg between 5 and 7 miles for a total of 50 miles. Learn more about the race
