Port Washington Dominates Lutheran in Season Opener

Vikings jump out to 14-0 first quarter lead.

Port Washington jumped out to a 14-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back as they dominated Long Island Lutheran High School, 35-6, in their Div. V season opener Thursday. 

The Vikings added 14 third-quarter points to lead 28-0 heading into the final quarter. 

Port Washington Head Coach Jamel Ramsay gave the Vikings high marks.

“Angel Reyes was the leading rusher with 12 carries, 80 yards and three touchdowns,” he said. 

Mike Gennusa ran 18 carries for 86 yards.

Defensively, David Kinneary had four solo tackles. Rob Reyes had two receptions for 46 yards and one touchdown.
