Port Washington Plays For Nassau County Lacrosse Championship Tuesday

Vikings face Massapequa at 7:30 p.m. at Hofstra University.

Tonight's the night.

Port Washington will face Masapequa at Hofstra University Tuesday for the Nassau County boys lacrosse title.

The third-seeded Vikings upset No. 2 Syosset, the defending Nassau Class A champion, last week. Port's 11-9 win Wednesday night before a crowd of 1,000 at Hofstra’s Shuart Stadium moves them into the title game for the first time since 1999.

In the title game, Port Washington (12-4) will face Massapequa (14-2). The Chiefs advanced to the big game for the fourth straight season with a 13-4 semifinal win over Farmingdale Tuesday.

On May 8, Port Washington lost to Massapequa 16-6 during the regular season.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $6.
