Season Preview: 2011 Port Washington Boys Lacrosse

After losing 17 seniors last year, this young team is looking to produce a winning season.

After losing 17 seniors this year, the Port Washington boy’s lacrosse team is looking to win games this season with young leadership.  “We have a lot to replace,” said Coach Joseph Mascaretti. “It’s almost a brand new team.”

This year’s team will be running with five seniors and a multitude of underclassmen and will depend heavily on their midfield to win. “All three middies are well rounded,” Mascaretti said. “They’re old-school-type middies that will play offense, defense, the wing on face-offs, pick up ground balls, score goals.”

“These three guys will determine if we are successful or not this year,” he added.
