A 'Blue Hawaii' FunDay Monday

Town's weekly senior program featured a Hawaiian theme with 'Elvis' visiting the beach in Port Washington.

in Port Washington transformed into "Blue Hawaii" for senior citizens attending this week's FunDay Monday summer program.

Participants eagerly learned the graceful movements of the hula from visiting professional dancers. After the presentation, they enjoyed a special visit from "Elvis" who showed up to DJ and play music from the 50's.

Grass skirts, floral leis and colorful straw hats were donned by many. Organized by Department of Community Services, each week's session features a novel theme. The program continues on Monday, Aug. 13, when it's "Mardi Gras" time.
