5 Things to Know About Seeing Saturday’s ‘Broadway Showstoppers’ at The Preserve
Here are five things to know about seeing “Broadway Showstoppers,” a musical revue featuring popular tunes from the Great White Way at Sands Point Preserve at Castle Gould’s Great Hall Saturday.
- Broadway Showstoppers is produced by Joanne Fried and Helene Tiger, two top names in regional theater, featuring a cast of well-known Long Island performers, backed by a three piece orchestra led by Sandra Vigliotti. [link to cast members]
- The show features plenty of crowd-pleasers, including tunes from Kiss Me Kate, South Pacific, La Cage aux Folles, Rent, Les Misérables – plus one or two surprises.
- Tiger and Fried specialize in original works – favorites include Irving Berlin and Frank Sinatra revues.
- Upcoming cultural arts programs at Sands Point Preserve include Verdi’s Rigoletto on Aug. 16; and another performance of “Broadway Showstoppers,” on Aug. 9.
