Sunday at Sands Point Preserve: 'Who Eats What?'

The Preserve's next family nature program is “Who Eats What?” on Sunday, June 22, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m.

We’ll visit our beautiful freshwater pond, where herbivorous (plant eating) tadpoles grow up to be carnivorous (meat eating) frogs. And where turtles begin life as carnivores and become herbivores, eating aquatic vegetation.

Learn more about these fascinating gastronomical facts, and find water scorpions, dragonfly nymphs, beetles, fish, and plants that feed our reptiles and amphibians.

Bring a clean take-out container (preferably white) to collect specimens – we’ll have some to share.  Wear footwear that can get wet and muddy!
Admission: $10 per car / free with Annual Pass.

Pre-registration recommended - please email your name and the number of children and adult participants to info@friendsspp.org
